Vell, massivelyuseful.com's just zis domain, you know?

I started blogging here in 2005, before Google bought Blogger. (My first blog was on Dave Winer's original editthispage.com, which blew my mind the first time I saw it, and there were others in-between.)

A few years back I needed a domain for my first app, a silly little Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy tribute app called Towel. And I think I found the perfect one.

In case you're not familiar with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - first, go read it. All the original 5 books of Douglas Adams' increasingly-inaccurately named trilogy. Then you'll see this line:

A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.

Then I got jealous of Towel. How come my silly app had a better domain name than my blog? 

After a while I realized I didn't have to be jealous. 

So, I'm going to start using Massively Useful as my primary blog outlet.
